Explore this styleItaly Touring brings together a carefully selected range of Italy tours for Australian travellers, including small group tours, private tours, escorted journeys, walking holidays, food and wine tours, scenic rail experiences and regional itineraries.
Our tours cover the places many travellers dream of seeing, including Rome, Florence, Venice, Tuscany, Sicily, Puglia, the Amalfi Coast, the Italian Lakes, the Dolomites and the islands of Southern Italy. We also feature lesser-known regions and more immersive itineraries for travellers who want to go beyond the standard highlights.
Every tour has been chosen with care by a team that knows Italy deeply. We look for itineraries with strong local knowledge, sensible pacing, authentic experiences and reliable on-ground support, so you can enjoy the journey rather than worrying about the details.
Italy Touring is a Melbourne-based travel agency specialising in curated tours and tailored travel to Italy. We work with trusted operators and local partners to offer journeys that combine well-planned logistics with authentic regional experiences.
Our role is to help you choose the right tour, not just any tour. We consider your travel dates, preferred pace, interests, budget and previous experience of Italy before recommending options. Whether you want a small group tour, a private itinerary, a food and wine holiday, a walking tour or a scenic regional journey, we can help you compare the best fit.
Because we are based in Australia, you have local support before you travel, with the added benefit of Italy-focused knowledge. Our team can also assist with flights, pre- and post-tour arrangements and broader Europe travel plans.
The best Italy tour from Australia depends on how you like to travel. First-time visitors often choose small group tours or escorted journeys covering Rome, Florence, Venice and Tuscany. Travellers returning to Italy may prefer regional tours in Sicily, Puglia, the Dolomites, the Amalfi Coast or the Italian Lakes. Private tours are best for flexible dates and tailored itineraries.
Group sizes vary by tour, but the small group format is designed to give you personal attention from your guide, easier access to authentic local experiences, and genuine connections with fellow travellers.
The standard of accommodation varies between tours and cities – most of our tours feature comfortable 4-star hotels, centrally located for easy exploration of each destination. Accommodation is selected for its standards, location, and guest experience. Many properties are family-owned boutique hotels that offer a more genuine local experience than international chain hotels.
Our comprehensive tour packages typically include:
Additional inclusions vary by specific tour, with premium tours offering enhanced experiences and more inclusive meals. Airfare to and from Italy is not included, allowing you flexibility in your travel arrangements.
Not at all! All our tour guides are fluent English speakers, and we handle all the logistics and communication with local providers. While learning a few basic Italian phrases is appreciated by locals and can enhance your experience, it’s absolutely not required. Many Italians in tourist areas speak at least some English, particularly in hotels, restaurants, and major attractions.
Certainly! You can contact our Melbourne-based team through our website here, or give us a call on 03 9824 0898 during business hours.
In addition to all your travel arrangements in Italy, our team can organise and book all your flights to and from Europe and any other destinations as part of your overall holiday.
To secure your place on one of our small group tours, a deposit of $750 per person per tour is required within 7 days (unless otherwise stated) of us accepting your booking. The remaining balance must be received by the date(s) reflected on your invoice OR no less than 60 days before commencement of your trip from when you leave Australia.
