Classic Fantastic 11 Days is a more comprehensive itinerary for travellers who want the classic northbound Italy route as well as time in the south, all while keeping the convenience of a Rome start and finish. It combines Assisi, Siena, Florence, Bologna, Venice and Tuscan wine country with a southern extension through Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri, creating a broader and more rewarding overview of the country.
This longer itinerary is particularly well suited to travellers who want strong value, comfortable logistics and a richer sense of Italy’s contrasts: Renaissance cities, medieval centres, vineyard landscapes, ancient ruins and the atmosphere of Campania all in one escorted journey. It offers more time for sightseeing and more variety across regions without expecting clients to arrange the major logistics themselves.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Rome
Meet your driver at the airport and enjoy your included transfer to the hotel. Use your one-day Hop-On Hop-Off panoramic bus ticket to discover Rome independently and orient yourself around the Eternal City.
Overnight in Rome.
Day 2: Rome > Assisi > Siena > Florence
Depart at 7:15 AM by deluxe coach to Assisi. Visit the Basilica of St. Francis and enjoy lunch before continuing to Siena and then Florence through the Tuscan countryside.
Overnight in Florence.
Day 3: Florence
Explore Florence’s Renaissance treasures including the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, and Santa Croce. Enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant.
Free afternoon or optional Pisa excursion. Overnight in Florence.
Day 4: Florence > Bologna > Venice
Travel to Bologna for a walking visit through the historic centre and a local gastronomic experience with one drink included. Continue to Venice and check in.
Overnight in Venice.
Day 5: Venice
Transfer to Piazza San Marco and discover Venice’s highlights with a guided tour, including the Doge’s Palace from outside and the Bridge of Sighs. Enjoy a spritz or prosecco with cicchetti.
Free afternoon and overnight in Venice.
Day 6: Venice > Tuscany Wine Region > Rome
Depart Venice and travel through Tuscany to Montepulciano, known for Vino Nobile and sweeping views. Enjoy a traditional Tuscan lunch with one glass of wine and some free time in town before returning to Rome.
Overnight in Rome.
Day 7: Rome
Join the included skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Square. The rest of the day is at leisure or available for optional touring.

Day 8: Rome > Pompeii > Sorrento
After breakfast, depart Rome and travel south through Lazio and Campania. Enjoy lunch with authentic Neapolitan pizza and one drink before continuing to Pompeii.
With skip-the-line access and a guided visit, explore the streets, homes, frescoes and mosaics of the ancient Roman city buried by Vesuvius in 79 AD. Continue along the Sorrentine Coast to Sorrento, where dinner at the hotel and overnight are included.
Day 9: Sorrento > Capri > Sorrento
After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion to Capri, one of the Mediterranean’s most celebrated islands. Weather permitting, visit the Blue Grotto by rowboat before enjoying free time for lunch and independent exploration.
Return to Sorrento in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Sorrento > Rome
After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Sorrento before the afternoon transfer and return journey to Rome by coach.
Arrive back in Rome in the late afternoon. Overnight in Rome.
Day 11: Rome
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your included transfer to the airport.

Moderate: extended touring days, walking in historic centres and archaeological areas, and regular coach travel between regions.
General Notes
- This is not a small group tour and can include up to 40 guests per tour.
- City tax is not included and is payable directly to the hotel.
- Drinks are not included in meals unless specifically included in the listed experience.
- During peak season, visiting the Blue Grotto in Capri may involve long queues and limited capacity. If access is not possible, or weather and sea conditions do not allow it, guides will suggest alternative sightseeing such as the Faraglioni rocks.
- Due to seasonal hotel closures in Sorrento, neighbouring areas or 3-star hotels may be used when necessary.
- During low season, this program may operate as a combination of two products unless the group reaches the threshold to run seamlessly with one coach and one tour leader.

- Luggage policy: each traveller is allowed 1 checked suitcase (23-32 kg) and 1 carry-on bag.
- Some hotels may charge a small fee for luggage storage before check-in or after check-out.
- Meeting point and time: departures from Rome leave from Hotel St. Martin at 7:15 AM.
- Due to technical and/or logistic issues, itineraries may be amended.
- Overnight accommodation is in listed hotels or similar, typically 3-star or 4-star depending on departure and availability.
- Loss or damage of headsets may incur a charge of 100 EUR per device.
- Guaranteed monolingual departures. If the minimum of 12 participants per language is not reached, one coach may operate with two tour leaders, one for each language.
