Tour Details

Florence & Venice Escapade is designed for travellers who want a compact northern Italy journey that still feels rewarding and well put together. Over five days, it links two of Italy’s most iconic city experiences—Renaissance Florence and romantic Venice—while adding a worthwhile guided excursion to Pisa for extra depth.

You begin with time in Florence, where world-famous art, elegant piazzas, and Tuscan character set the tone. A guided visit to the Accademia Gallery brings you face to face with Michelangelo’s David, while the included half-day excursion to Pisa adds one of Italy’s best-known landmark settings without the stress of organising it independently.

From there, high-speed rail makes the transition to Venice smooth and efficient. Your final stay offers time to simply enjoy the atmosphere of the lagoon city, capped off by a classic shared gondola ride through the Grand Canal area and smaller canals. It works beautifully as a stand-alone mini tour or as an easy add-on to a broader Italian itinerary.

Inclusions

  • 2 nights in Florence in 4-star accommodation with daily breakfast
  • Guided Accademia Gallery visit on a shared basis
  • Half-day regular excursion to Pisa with local guide
  • High-speed train ticket from Florence to Venice (2nd class)
  • 2 nights in Venice in 4-star accommodation with daily breakfast
  • Shared gondola ride in Venice (approx. 30 minutes)

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Florence

Arrive in Florence independently and make your way to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to settle in, stroll the historic centre, or simply begin soaking up the city’s Renaissance atmosphere at your own pace.

Overnight in Florence.

Day 2: Florence, Accademia Gallery And Pisa

After breakfast, make your way to the Accademia meeting point for your included guided visit. This experience brings you close to Michelangelo’s David as well as other significant works, offering a rewarding introduction to Florence’s artistic importance.

Later, enjoy free time before joining the afternoon excursion to Pisa. Visit Piazza dei Miracoli, admire the Leaning Tower from outside, and see the Cathedral interior when access permits. Return to Florence after the tour. Overnight in Florence.

Day 3: Florence To Venice

Breakfast at the hotel. At the advised time, head to Florence railway station and board your included high-speed train to Venice in 2nd class.

On arrival, make your own way to the hotel and check in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy Venice’s canals, squares, and atmosphere. Overnight in Venice.

Day 4: Venice

After breakfast, make your way to the gondola meeting point near St Mark’s Square. Your included shared gondola ride offers a classic Venetian perspective, gliding through part of the Grand Canal area and quieter side canals lined with palaces, bridges, and hidden corners.

The remainder of the day is free for independent exploration—perhaps visiting St Mark’s Basilica, wandering through Dorsoduro, or simply enjoying Venice without a schedule. Overnight in Venice.

Day 5: Venice Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour arrangements conclude today in Venice.
