Tour Details
Colourful villages, vineyard-covered slopes and small harbours make Liguria one of Italy’s most recognisable coastal regions. This four-day stay combines the Cinque Terre with the gentler elegance of Portofino and the Gulf of Tigullio.
Base yourself for three nights at Rapallo’s five-star Excelsior Palace Hotel. With no hotel changes, the two full sightseeing days can focus on the coast: all five Cinque Terre villages by local train, followed by Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure.
A private English-speaking guide accompanies both touring days, helping you appreciate the contrasts between cliff-top Corniglia, the lanes of Vernazza and Portofino’s harbour. It is a compact coastal addition to a longer Italian holiday, with arrival and departure transfers available separately.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive In Rapallo
Make your way to Rapallo and check into the five-star Excelsior Palace Hotel. Settle in for a three-night stay. Genoa airport transfers can be arranged at extra cost.
Day 2 – The Five Cinque Terre Villages
After breakfast, transfer to Monterosso al Mare and explore the Cinque Terre by local train with your private English-speaking guide. Visit Monterosso, harbour-side Vernazza, cliff-top Corniglia, colourful Manarola and Riomaggiore. A one-day Cinque Terre Card is included. Transfer back to Rapallo for the night.
Day 3 – Portofino & Santa Margherita Ligure
Explore the Gulf of Tigullio on a full-day private tour with your English-speaking guide. Discover Portofino’s harbour and colourful streets before continuing to Santa Margherita Ligure, where the waterfront sits between sea and hills. Transfer back to Rapallo for your final night.
Day 4 – Depart Rapallo
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your tour concludes. Onward travel and optional airport transfers are arranged separately.
