Tour Details
Ancient sites, Catalan streets and a coastline of striking contrasts give Sardinia a character all its own. This eight-day journey crosses the island from Cagliari to the northern coast, with time to appreciate its food, history and quieter seaside rhythms.
Begin with a guided walk through Cagliari before travelling via the Sinis Peninsula and colourful Bosa to Alghero. Explore the old town and the cliffs of Capo Caccia, then continue through Gallura for wine tasting with local produce.
Three nights in Santa Teresa di Gallura give the journey a relaxed finish. Two full leisure days leave room for beaches, cafés and independent exploration, with optional excursions available at extra cost before the final transfer to Olbia airport.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive In Cagliari
Meet your driver at Cagliari airport and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and enjoy your first evening in Sardinia’s capital. Overnight in Cagliari.
Day 2 – Cagliari
Join a local guide for a three-hour walking tour through Castello, Stampace and Marina, taking in the Bastion of Saint-Remy, Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, Elephant Tower and Via Roma. The afternoon is free. Poetto Beach offers a coastal outing, while museum and amphitheatre visits are optional and extra. Overnight in Cagliari.
Day 3 – Sinis Peninsula & Bosa To Alghero
Travel towards Alghero with your English-speaking driver. At San Giovanni, take a 30-minute tourist-train ride around the Sinis Peninsula with views of Tharros and Capo San Marco. A separate visit inside Tharros must be requested when booking; entry is extra. Continue to Bosa for a traditional Sardinian lunch and time among the riverside streets beneath Serravalle Castle. Overnight in Alghero.
Day 4 – Alghero & Capo Caccia
Explore Alghero’s Catalan-influenced old town with a local guide, discovering palaces, churches and courtyards behind the seaside walls. After an independent lunch, continue to Capo Caccia for dramatic cliff and lighthouse views. Return to Alghero for free time and an overnight stay.
Day 5 – Gallura Wine Country
Enjoy a leisurely morning before travelling through Gallura around midday. Visit an estate for wine tasting with local products, surrounded by a landscape of granite hills and Mediterranean countryside. Continue to Santa Teresa di Gallura and settle into your hotel.
Day 6 – Santa Teresa Di Gallura At Leisure
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a full day to enjoy Santa Teresa di Gallura independently. Wander between cafés and boutiques or relax by the sea. An optional excursion to La Maddalena can be arranged at extra cost. Overnight in Santa Teresa di Gallura.
Day 7 – Northern Sardinia At Leisure
Spend another day at your own pace after breakfast. You might explore the town or seek out views from Torre di Longonsardo. Optional outings to Bonifacio in Corsica or the Costa Smeralda are extra and subject to arrangements. Overnight in Santa Teresa di Gallura.
Day 8 – Depart Via Olbia
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Olbia Costa Smeralda airport, where your journey ends.
