Lake Como makes a beautiful base for a short Lombardy stay: elegant lakefront streets, mountain views and an easy arrival from Milan Malpensa Airport. This private 4-day tour keeps the logistics simple, with transfers included and three nights in Como so you can settle into the lake rather than rush through it.
The centrepiece is a full-day Bernina Express experience. Travel by private car from Como to Tirano, then board the train for one of Europe’s great alpine rail journeys, climbing through dramatic mountain scenery towards St Moritz. After time at leisure in the Swiss resort town, your driver returns you to Como.
A free day in Como gives the tour its balance. You might wander the historic centre, spend time by the water, take the Como-Brunate funicular or simply enjoy the lake at your own pace before your return transfer to Milan Malpensa.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive In Como
Arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport, where your driver will meet you for the private transfer to your hotel in Como. After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure.
Depending on your arrival time, take a gentle walk through Como’s historic centre or along the lakefront. Como Cathedral, Tempio Voltiano and the lakeside gardens are among the easy ways to begin your stay.

Day 2 - Bernina Express And St Moritz
After breakfast, meet your driver for the journey from Como to Tirano. From here, board the Bernina Express route for a remarkable rail journey through the Alps towards St Moritz.
The line climbs through mountain scenery and reaches 2,253 metres above sea level at its highest point. On arrival in St Moritz, enjoy approximately two hours at leisure to explore independently before meeting your driver for the return journey to Como.
You will travel independently on the train and during your time in St Moritz. The day may operate in reverse depending on rail schedules and operational requirements.

Day 3 - Como At Leisure
Today is yours to enjoy Como and the lake at a relaxed pace. You may like to wander the old town, spend time by the water, visit the lakeside gardens or ride the Como-Brunate funicular for views over the lake and surrounding mountains.

Day 4 - Depart Como
After breakfast, your private transfer returns you to Milan Malpensa Airport, where arrangements end.
