Tour Details
Rome’s ancient monuments and everyday food traditions belong together. In the heart of Lazio, this five-day stay brings the city’s great archaeological sites into conversation with its markets, trattorias and lively neighbourhoods.
Spend four nights in Rome, with guided visits to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, followed by the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. A day in Tivoli takes you beyond the city to the imperial remains of Hadrian’s Villa and the fountain-filled gardens of Villa d’Este.
The food experiences bring a more personal side of Rome into focus: dinner in Trastevere, a hands-on pizza class and a walking tour tasting Roman street food, pasta and gelato. There is also independent time to return to a favourite piazza or linger over a coffee.
Inclusions
- Four nights in Rome with breakfast
- Trastevere trattoria dinner, excluding drinks
