From there you continue to Bologna for its historic centre and culinary traditions before arriving in Venice for guided highlights around St Mark’s and time to wander canals, artisan lanes and quieter neighbourhoods.

The final day brings a Tuscan wine-country stop in Montepulciano for a traditional lunch and a glass of local wine before returning to Rome.
