Jewels of the South 2026
Tour Essentials
Daily breakfast included; dinner included on Sorrento nights (half board)
Tour Details
If you want the “wow” moments of Southern Italy without the stress of stitching it all together, this is the tour. Jewels of the South is a curated 7‑day mini-journey that puts you in the right places, in the right order, with the right inclusions—so your time is spent enjoying Italy, not organising it.
Your week begins with an early pick-up from your centrally located Rome hotel and a scenic transfer south to Sorrento, a brilliant base of citrus groves, artisan ceramics, and old-town lanes made for evening strolls. You’ll have time to settle in and enjoy Sorrento’s atmosphere, with dinner included at your hotel so you can ease into the trip.
Next comes one of the most valuable inclusions on the itinerary: a skip-the-line, guided visit of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage site where everyday Roman life is frozen in time. With a professional local guide and headsets, you’ll actually hear the story behind what you’re seeing—forums, streets, villas, and the haunting details that make Pompeii unforgettable—before returning to Sorrento for another relaxed evening.
Midweek, you cross to Capri, with a full day dedicated to the island’s headline experiences: the Blue Grotto (weather permitting) and the Gardens of Augustus, plus time to wander, shop, and simply enjoy Capri’s glamour at your own pace. A second night on Capri gives you something most rushed itineraries don’t: breathing room to savour the island properly.
From Capri you travel along the coast to Positano, arriving to two nights in one of Italy’s most iconic seaside towns. Here the itinerary becomes beautifully simple: wake up, take breakfast, then spend the day exploring terraced lanes, sea views, and the boutiques Positano is famous for—handmade sandals, straw bags, linen pieces—before your final transfer to Naples, where the tour concludes.

Accompanied by our expert tour leader, we will head to Pompeii, where a professional local guide will take you on an extraordinary walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Discover the remarkably preserved ruins of this ancient Roman city, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Skip-the-line access, personal earphones, and a radio receiver ensure you won’t miss a single fascinating detail as your guide brings history to life.
At the end of the tour, you will return to Sorrento. The rest of the day will be at your disposal.
Dinner and overnight in Sorrento.
DAY 3: Sorrento > Capri
After breakfast you’ll be embarked to Capri Island. Depending on weather conditions, you’ll take a boat ride to the popular and dreamy “Grotta Azzurra” (Blue Grotto), where sunlight passes into an underwater cavity and shines through the seawater, creating a magical blue reflection.
After visiting the Blue Grotto, continue to the Giardini di Augusto (Gardens of Augustus), a beautifully landscaped terrace offering panoramic views of the iconic Faraglioni rock formations and the Marina Piccola Bay — an ideal spot for photos and a relaxing stroll. You’ll see wonderful views of the Bay of Naples, with free time for lunch (lunch not included).
After lunch, take some free time to explore Capri at your leisure or go shopping, and in the afternoon, you will check in at your new hotel for a well-deserved rest.
DAY 4: Capri Island
Set out early to discover the beauty of Capri at your own pace. Explore the many shops and restaurants of this wonderful island or take a swim in the Gulf of Naples.
If the excursion to the Blue Grotto was not possible on day 3 due to sea conditions, you may choose to take the rowboat excursion today.

DAY 6: Positano
See all that Positano has to offer as you set off to explore the ancient fishermen’s village after breakfast. Known for its cubic Empire houses perched upon cliffs looking over turquoise water, Positano is the most well-known summer resort area on the whole peninsula.
