With more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry, Andrew Geils brings a wealth of knowledge and genuine expertise to Italy Touring. His career has spanned both corporate and leisure travel, including senior marketing roles with leading travel and hospitality organisations such as Jumeirah International Hotels, Ansett, Traveland, Australian Airlines and STA Travel.
His passion for Italy began more than 15 years ago during a family trip that introduced him to the country’s extraordinary cultural heritage, landscapes and cuisine. Since then, Andrew has travelled extensively throughout Italy — exploring regions from Sicily and Tuscany to Lake Garda, the Dolomites and Puglia. These journeys have allowed him to build strong relationships with local guides, hotels and travel partners that now form the foundation of the Italy Touring experience.
As Founding Director, Andrew oversees itinerary design, supplier relationships and the overall direction of Italy Touring’s travel experiences. He works closely with each client to understand their interests and travel style, using his first-hand knowledge of Italy’s regions to design journeys that go beyond the expected.
Andrew’s goal is simple: to help travellers discover the richness and diversity of Italy through carefully designed journeys that combine iconic destinations with authentic local experiences. Whether he’s recommending a hidden trattoria in Lecce or a family-run agriturismo in the Chianti hills, his advice is always grounded in personal experience.
