Days 1 – 3 Baroque Beginnings: Discovering Lecce and Salento’s Charms
Welcome to Puglia! Begin your journey in Lecce, often referred to as the ‘Florence of the South’ due to its rich Baroque architectural heritage. Explore Lecce’s intricate facades and charming streets with a guided tour that delves into its historical and cultural significance.
Travel across the Salento peninsula, where the quaint towns of Galatina and Otranto await. In Galatina, admire the stunning frescoes of the Church of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria and sample traditional pasticciotto in a historic bakery. Otranto captivates visitors with its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and the mesmerising mosaics of its Norman cathedral, which offer a glimpse into Puglia’s layered history.
Days 5 – 8 Heart of Puglia: Artisans and Towns of the Valle d’Itria
Venture into the heart of Puglia with a visit to the Valle d’Itria, known for its picturesque landscapes dotted with trulli houses. Discover Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where these unique conical-roofed structures create an architectural forest.
Explore Locorotondo and Martina Franca, towns famed for their whitewashed streets and vibrant local markets. Visit authentic family-run wineries and cheese producers, who offer insights into their crafts, complemented by tastings of regional specialities.

Days 7 – 9 Caves and Coastlines: Navigating Gargano’s Natural Beauty
The rugged Gargano Peninsula offers a dramatic contrast with its towering cliffs, deep caves, and lush forested interior.
Embark on a boat trip to view the stunning coastline from the sea, exploring hidden coves and the famous grottos.
