Independent arrival in Bari e transfer to Trani.

Initial briefing e panoramic tour of Trani at sunset to admire the splendid cathedral on the sea, the port and the ancient Jewish quarter. Aperitif with a view on the enchanting tourist port. Overnight stay in a structure in the historic centre.

We will visit a dairy which produces mozzarella, burrata and other dairy products by hand. Anyone who wants can try their hand at making mozzarella and burrata together with the master cheesemaker. In the afternoon stop at Castel del Monte, one of the most mysterious and fascinating castles in southern Italy designed by Frederick II of Swabia. Our professional local guide will accompany you on a historical itinerary so you can truly appreciate this monument, UNESCO site since 1996 and symbol of Puglia, desired by the Emperor defined as “Stupor Mundi”. Return to Trani e typical dinner (two courses with water and 1 glass of wine included).

Breakfast and departure for Altamura.

We will visit the characteristic village of Altamura where the best bread in Italy is produced. We will visit a typical bakery and taste the bread and other typical local products including the “nun’s tit”, a typical soft dessert with a tasty cream filling. We will continue to Matera, the city of the Sassi starting from Piazza Vittorio Veneto with a panoramic view of the Civita and Sasso Barisano. We will cross Piazza del Sedile and Via Duomo until we reach the beautiful belvedere. We will enter the rock churches Madonna dell’Idris and San Giovanni Monterrone and in a typical cave house. Return to Trani e typical dinner (two courses with water and 1 glass of wine included)

Breakfast and departure for Bari.

Street food tour in the old city in the company of our local guide. You will visit the exteriors of the Swabian castle. You will walk along the “orecchiette” street until you reach the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Basilica of San Nicola. You will taste the specialties of Bari street food: focaccia, sgagliozze and panzerotto. In the afternoon visit to Polignano a mare, the city of Mr. Volare. We will admire its numerous terraces overlooking the sea, the statue dedicated to the famous singer-songwriter Domenico Modugno and the beautiful Lama Monachile.Arrival at the hotel in Monopoli. Typical dinner (two courses with water and 1 glass of wine included) and overnight stay.

Breakfast and transfer at 9.00 for Alberobello, UNESCO site since 1996 and an unmissable destination when you arrive in Puglia. The capital of the trulli has a unique charm and is like no other place. You will know the history of this place which has handed down the typical rural architecture for centuries which still survives today. Our local guide will show you the two districts Aia Piccola and Rione Monti. Tasting of extra virgin olive oil. Lunch in a typical local stone trullo (Typical menu with two courses, water, wine and coffee).Continuation to Locorotondo, small village among the most beautiful in Italy. In the afternoon visit to Ostuni.Also called “the white city”, Ostuni stands out for its characteristic historic center with houses painted entirely in white which the Apulian sun makes seem even brighter. You will be guided through the most important characteristic squares and alleys of the center embellished by the residents up to the cathedral. You will be able to look out to admire the expanse of olive trees bordered by the sea. Return to Monopoli and free evening.

Breakfast and guided tour in Lecce in the baroque city, among rich facades of palaces and churches and local craft shops.The route will start from Piazza Sant’Oronzo and wind its way through the ancient village admiring the Cathedral, the Basilica of Santa Croce, the Church of Sant’Irene. Finally tasting of the typical Lecce dessert: the pasticciotto. Return to Monopoli and typical dinner (two courses with water and 1 glass of wine included). Overnight stay.
