Day 1 Thursday: VENICE • SIRMIONE (Lake Garda) • LAKE COMO • MILAN
Meet with your tour leader at Tronchetto in Venice at 8am and depart for Sirmione; well known as the Pearl of Lake Garda – ‘the gem of all the peninsulas’, as the poet Catullus wrote. Your visit commences with the medieval Scala Castle, built at the end of the 13th century by the Lords of Verona. Along narrow medieval streets, you will reach the Parish Church of Santa Maria which contains many stunning images and paintings; together with different altars and precious 18th century works of marble.
Further uphill, we will reach the San Salvatore Church, which dates back to the 8th century. You will visit the park of the prestigious and luxurious 5 star Hotel Villa Cortine and the nearby Villa of Maria Callas; making your way to the entrance of the Grotte di Catullo. This is the most important archaeological area of the entire Lombardy region. The imposing remains which was once a luxurious Roman Villa on Lake Garda.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to Lake Como, to walk through the local historic highlights. Strolling through the ancient streets in the heart of the town, surrounded by Roman walls, you will visit the beautiful Romanesque and Baroque churches, Piazza Volta and Piazza Duomo; plus the charming old Town Hall building, called Broletto, with its characteristic bell tower and superb 600-year old Cathedral. Subsequently, you will depart for Milan, and will enjoy a panoramic tour to see the city highlights, such as: Sforzesco Castle, medieval Piazza Mercanti, and Piazza della Scala, and admire the marble façade of Milan Cathedral and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the oldest shopping malls in the world. The tour will conclude in the historic Piazza del Duomo. In the evening, check into the hotel in Milan for dinner and overnight stay. Meals: B D
Day 2 Friday: MILAN • LA SPEZIA • PORTOVENERE • VERNAZZA • MANAROLA • LUCCA
After breakfast in the hotel, check out and depart to La Spezia for an unforgettable day dedicated to the discovery of one of the most amazing and enchanting landscapes in the World: Cinque Terre. Visit the first village of Portovenere, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This picturesque harbour is lined with brightly coloured houses, while narrow medieval streets lined with shops lead up the hill from the ancient city gate to the castle.
You will travel by boat to Vernazza, a small fishing village classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The village is surrounded by very steeply-terraced olive groves which are said to produce among the finest olive oil in the country.
Your last stop will be Monterosso: the largest of the five coastal villages. Its amazing beaches, its beautiful reefs and the sea’s crystal clear waters, make this small village one of the most hospitable of the Ligurian Riviera.
In the late afternoon, return to La Spezia by train and travel by bus to Lucca. You will stroll the cobblestone streets, bustling piazzas and old Renaissance walls; trace the city’s Roman past along Via San Paolino and Piazza San Michele; and see the birthplace of local composer Giacomo Puccini. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to admire the medieval buildings along Via Fillungo, peek inside San Frediano church and visit landmarks like the Cathedral of San Martino, Piazza Anfiteatro and Torre delle Ore.
At the end of the tour, you will travel to Lucca to check in to yiur hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Meals: B,D
Day 3 Saturday : LUCCA • PISA • MONTEPULCIANO • ROMA
Breakfast in the hotel, check out and depart to Pisa for a walk into the heart of the city. Visit the Cathedral Square with Duomo di Pisa, Campo Santo, Pisa Baptistry, and, of course, the Leaning Tower of Pisa – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There will be time for lunch and shopping and in the afternoon depart to cross the Val D’orcia area, which is famous for its superb wine production and amazing landscape symbols of the Tuscany region. You will visit the most symbolic town in the area: Montepulciano. Surrounded by the ancient city wall, Montepulciano is the symbol of the power and wealth of the noble families from the 14th to 16th centuries. You will be enchanted by the beauty of Piazza Grande with the magnificent Duomo and Palazzo Tarugi; and have th opportunity to see the Fortezza and the Church of Santa Maria dei Servi, a symbol of Renaissance art. Montepulciano is well known for the great production of red wine, it’s “Nobile di Montepulciano” is one of the most appreciated Italian wines in Italy and abroad. Montepulciano has a distinct peculiarity, in that you can find several historic cantinas right within the city walls, which have been dug out underneath the prestigious palazzos. You can taste local wine, take photographs and shop for souvenirs. Travel to Rome. Check in and overnight in your hotel in Rome.
Day 4 Sunday ROME • NAPLES • POMPEII • SORRENTO
You will be collected from your hotel between 6.30am and 7.00am, to travel to Naples. Please remember to breakfast box at your hotel the day before.
Upon arrival in Naples, your local guide will take you for a walking tour of the historical centre to admire Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Piazza del Municipio, the Gallery of Umberto I, the San Carlo Opera House.
Upon leaving the city, continue to Pompeii. After lunch in a traditional local restaurant with Neapolitan specialities, you will visit a coral and cameo factory where you will have the opportunity to admire and purchase items made with a technique dating back to the Greek times.
Afterwards, you will visit Pompeii, the city that was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AC. This archaeological journey through the ancient city will give you the opportunity to better understand how the Romans lived at that time.
You will then proceed to SORRENTO, the gateway to Amalfi Coast. You will see its colourful historical centre and pretty waterfront with fishing boats and the new Marina Grande Cruise Pier. Check in to your hotel in Sorrento for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Monday SORRENTO • CAPRI • SORRENTO
Enjoy your American buffet breakfast at the hotel, before departing to the island of Capri at 8.00am. You will take the ferry to Marina Grande and later, visit the Blue Grotto – weather permitting. You will stop at the famous Piazzetta and a minibus will take you on to Anacapri for lunch. After lunch in Anacapri, you will return to Marina Grande where you will board the ferry for your transfer back to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight in your hotel in Sorrento

Day 6 Tuesday SORRENTO • ROME
Enjoy your American buffet breakfast at the hotel and a day at your leisure to explore Sorrento or take an optional tour. You can opt to discover the Amalfi coast visiting Positano, Ravello and Amalfi.
You will meet at 2.30-3.00pm in your hotel lobby to transfer to Pompei where you will join the bus to come back to Rome. Arrival in Rome around 9h00p.m (drop off guaranteed at Termini Station / Barberini Square / Destionation Italia Office) .
