Itinerary of Car Lover’s Tour
Day 1 – BOLOGNA
Pick your car up either at Florence or Bologna Airport and drive to Bologna, where you’ll be accommodated for the following 5 nights at a special 4 star Hotel. Just relax in Bologna today, your adventure will start tomorrow!
Day 2 – BOLOGNA
During the morning, enjoy Bologna the capital of this prosperous region of Italy: Emilia Romagna. Not yet contaminated by mass tourism, the city is the ideal choice for cultural interludes as well as leisure activities and relaxation. Bologna has a number of nicknames: “la dotta” (the learned) for its ancient university, “la rossa” (the red) for the warm color of its roofs and houses, and “la grassa” (the fat) for the wonderful food.
We will visit the historical center with Piazza Maggiore, Fountain of Neptune, the two tower and San Petronio Basilica. Afternoon at leisure doing shopping… Remember that Bologna claims to be Italy’s culinary capital…you will decide! The list of foods originating in Bologna and Emilia Romagna is countless: lasagna, tortellini, “spaghetti bolognese”, Parma ham, balsamic vinegar, parmesan cheese.
Day 3 – BOLOGNA
This morning enjoy a visit at the FERRARI MUSEUM (guide and tickets included).This Museum is the keeper of this myth, the official exhibition of Ferrari firm company, visited every year from more than 200.000 fans from every part of the world! It keeps not only the cars, but also the images and the trophies of Ferrari, also for this reason the collection is always updated!
The museum is composed by different thematic areas that can satisfy both the fan of the car races and the expert of vintage cars: Formula Uno, Sport and Sport-Prototipo cars, Granturismo collection. Among the news, we signal the Victory Hall celebrating the most recent successes from 1999 to 2008, together with the 110 trophies and the original helmets of 9 world champion’s drivers!
The Red Campus is an interactive area dedicated to children, where it’s possible exercise through simulations. Lunch included at a very special restaurant in Maranello, a unique style all its own, inspired to Ferrari. Return to the hotel, rest of the afternoon at leisure and overnight.
Day 4 – BOLOGNA
Since the early morning will be at leisure, we suggest you to visit the nice town of Modena. Don’t forget that you are locked in to enjoy a Balsamic vinegar tasting at a local farm in the late morning though!
In the afternoon, enjoy another exciting visit: LAMBORGHINI MUSEUM in Sant’Agata Bolognese. There it manufactures some of the world’s most sought-after super sports cars. With the presentation of the Huracán LP 610-4, Lamborghini offers a new dimension in luxury super sports cars. With 130 dealerships worldwide, Automobili Lamborghini is building on a succession of dynamic and elegant super sports cars including the 350GT, Miura, Espada, Countach, Diablo, Murciélago, Reventón Coupe, Reventón Roadster, Aventador and Gallardo. Back to the hotel and overnight.
Day 5 – BOLOGNA
Today guided visit in the close Maserati collection inside Museo Panini (tickets included). This very exclusive collection shows about 26 cars, many of them unique. The exhibition includes the Maserati 6CM built from 1936 to 1939 and a prototype of Merak Turbo studied for the American market but never produced. After free time for lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to “Pagani Automobili” which is pleased to welcome visitors at its Atelier in San Cesario sul Panaro for a guided factory tour.
Back to the hotel and overnight.
Day 6 – BOLOGNA
Today your tour ends with car drop off and departure from Florence or Bologna Airport.
